According to industry sources cited by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), while diesel prices are set to ease slightly, by 0.5 cents per litre, petrol prices will rise by 2.5 cents.
In this sense, and since data from the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG) shows an average price per litre of diesel in Portugal of 1.59 euros this Thursday, a litre of diesel is expected to cost 1.585 euros starting Monday.
Meanwhile, a litre of petrol, which averaged €1.678 this Thursday, is expected to rise to €1.703 early next week.
Prices for the end consumer may vary, however, depending on the gas station.
Fuel price trends also take into account the behaviour of oil and oil product prices on international markets and the euro's exchange rate against the dollar over the past week.
