According to industry sources cited by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), petrol prices are expected to drop 0.5 cents and diesel prices are expected to drop 1.5 cents.

Data from the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG) shows that a litre of diesel is expected to cost €1.594 starting Monday.

Meanwhile, a litre of petrol, which averaged €1.691 this Thursday, is expected to drop to €1.686 at the beginning of next week.

However, end-consumer prices may vary depending on the gas station chosen.

Fuel price trends also take into account the price of oil and derivatives on international markets and the exchange rate of the euro against the dollar over the past week.
