Advocates have stated that this model could transform energy access across the Democratic Republic of Congo and other vulnerable regions, using renewable energy to benefit those most susceptible to climate change.


The project, led by utility company Nuru, has replaced the diesel generators in the region and powers small businesses despite the ongoing conflict.
