Hylron, a Namibian start-up, is investing in the creation of a new hydrogen energy production plant intended for use as a green fuel for heavy industry as well as for export.

The facility, which is targeting a production of 10 to 12 million tonnes of hydrogen per year by 2050, is designed to work off the electricity provided by local solar and wind power.
Namibia is a country covered mostly in desert, making it an ideal spot for large-scale renewable energy projects.
