According to the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, at around 4:15 pm, indicated that 138 operators were on the ground fighting the flames, assisted by 44 vehicles and five aerial resources.

A source from the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of Baixo Alentejo told Lusa that the alert for the fire, which is raging in the rural parish of Cabeça Gorda, in the municipality of Beja, was given at 12:44 pm.

The same source indicated at around 3 pm that the fire had two active fronts.
