We expect to welcome "20,000 people, but we have everything prepared for 20,000 or more," Pedro Baptista said at a press conference held at the event venue in Vale das Almas, a pine forest between the airport and Faro Beach.

The annual 'biker culture' gathering, organised by the Faro Motorcycle Club, includes concerts and a bike show, among other activities, culminating on the last day (Sunday) with a motorcycle parade and farewell ride through the city of Faro.

Pedro Baptista has been president of the Faro Motorcycle Club since last November, succeeding the longtime leader José Amaro, who stepped down after more than four decades of leadership.

"Right now, there are about 4,000 people already registered," but we expect many more to arrive, said Pedro Baptista, adding that people will come from all over the world.

Scheduled concerts include acts like The Waterboys and Sara Correia on Saturday, Calle del Ruido, Moonspell, and Blasted Mechanism on Friday.

Faro City Council Mayor Rogério Bacalhau also highlighted the arrival of "people from all over the world" to a "unique" event, with an economic impact of around two million euros directly flowing into the region's economy.

"It must be the event with the greatest impact on the Algarve in such a short space of time [four days]," said the mayor.

Rogério Bacalhau assured that in terms of security, "everything is prepared," with all necessary inspections of the venue having been carried out by various entities on Wednesday.

"All the conditions are in place for the gathering to proceed normally and without incident," said the mayor, who also called for civility from all participants.

The venue's security manager, Pascal Cavaco, stated that incidents that occur are usually resolved "internally," and that he has around 1,000 people involved in security.

Regarding health issues, Bárbara Ribeiro announced that approximately 40 professionals from this sector will be present, in addition to 66 nurses and technicians from the Red Cross.

"We are all here on a volunteer basis," and "we will try to resolve as many cases as possible on the grounds," said Bárbara Ribeiro.

The health professional noted that "it will rarely be necessary to transfer people to Faro Hospital," which will happen in the case of minor fractures: "Burns are the most common case we have to treat," she said.

Meanwhile, the GNR (National Republican Guard) reported that it will "intensify" patrols, control, and road inspections during the period on the main national highways, especially on the access roads to the area where the "43rd International Motorcycle Rally" is taking place.
