For five days, the Lagos Sports Complex transforms into a stage for flavours, sounds, and experiences for the whole family, with free admission and a program that blends Algarve sweets with live music, show cooking, children's entertainment, crafts, stalls, a sweet exhibition contest, and plenty of festivities.
The 2025 edition has the theme "Meeting of Cultures for Peace" and features Bahia as a guest region, in a celebration that promotes diversity and the intersection of traditions. Visitors can sample the Algarve's most iconic sweets, watch cooking demonstrations, and enjoy daily performances on several stages.
Music is once again a major attraction, with five nights of free concerts on the Lagos Stage. Featuring Maninho, Os Quatro e Meia, Bárbara Tinoco, Ivandro, and Sara Correia. But there's much more to discover: in the early evening, the Arte Doce Stage welcomes local and regional talents such as Xico Barata & Companhia, Benvindo Barros, Brasa Doirada, Quintarolas (representing Beira Interior), Gil Rock School, Cecília Pissarro, Nicole Silver Band, Teresa Tapadas, Antera, and others. Espaço + Doce offers a more intimate atmosphere, with performances by James Buck, Gigi Violist, Paulo Ribeiro, Júlio Silva, and the Algarve Jazz Orchestra.

The Municipal Pavilion will be a must-see for those more curious about the culinary arts. In addition to the exhibition of sweets in competition (free and mandatory themes), traditional Algarve sweets will also be highlighted with showcooking by Dom Rodrigo and Doce Fino, promoted by ADRA - Algarve Regional Sweets Association, the latter specially designed for children aged 7 to 12. The journey through the flavours of the world continues with demonstrations of Ukrainian cuisine, led by chef Andriy Prysyaznhyuk (ORANTA), Italian cuisine with chef Maria Francesca Diogardi (Centro de Estudos de Lagos), and a session dedicated to the flavors of Beira Interior, by chefs Raquel Ramos and Rui Ramos. It is also in this space that, on the 27th, the prizes for the confectionery competitions will be awarded. Families with children will find a true paradise at the "Trick or Treat" space, open daily from 6 p.m. to midnight, with workshops, inflatables, and, on the 26th and 27th, experiences hosted by the Lagos Science Centre. For night owls, Friday and Saturday nights end with a Silent Disco at the Cocktail Art Space, a fun and original way to keep the party going…with headphones!
With free admission and a venue suitable for all ages, the Feira Concurso Arte Doce is already a summer classic in the Algarve. Try it, enjoy it… and repeat!
