This year’s event, held at the end of March, marked the second round of the championship and drew around 70,000 visitors to the Algarve. Over 53,000 spectators attend the three-day event, underscoring its status as one of Portugal’s most high-profile motorsport spectacles. This influx of fans, teams, and media generated a significant boost for sectors such as hospitality, transport, catering, and technical services.

The event’s direct economic impact reached €17.3 million. When factoring in tourism’s multiplier effect, the extended benefits of spending on the local economy, the total estimated economic impact is between €28.4 million and €33 million.

Direct tourism-related revenue, including accommodation, food, transport, and other spending, amounted to over €5.7 million from participants and organisers. Spectators contributed over €11.2 million to the local economy.

Additionally, local suppliers contracted for services such as security, cleaning, medical support, advertising, and track marshals added another €393,000 in spending.

The event also generated over 20,000 overnight stays for teams, media, and organisers, with around half of the spectators choosing to stay in local hotels - a substantial contribution during the off-peak tourist season.

Tickets for the 2026 Superbike round at the Algarve International Circuit are already on sale at www.autodromodoalgarve.com, promising another major influx of fans and continued economic benefits for the region.
