At the Paris Haute Couture Week, one particular dress produced by biodesigner Chris Bellamy in cooperation with researchers from the University of Amsterdam has captivated audiences.

The garment was created from 125 million living Pyrocytis lunula algae, making it bioluminescent with a first-of-its-kind “living look”.
This dress contains a gel material that is comprised of the bioluminescent blooms, emitting light when it’s moved.
