According to forecasts from the Portuguese Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SPAIC), until 3 July, pollen concentration in the air will be moderate to high in most districts, with the exception of the district of Faro, where it will be low to moderate, and the Azores and Madeira, which will maintain low levels.

In the regions of Trás-Os-Montes and Alto Douro (Vila Real), Entre Douro e Minho (Porto), Beira Litoral (Coimbra) and Lisbon and Setúbal, at moderate to high risk, the pollen grains of the chestnut tree and grassy herbs, plantain, sorrel and nettles stand out.

In Beira Litoral and the district of Lisbon, the forecasts include the herbs chenopodium, bredo and nettle.

In Castelo Branco (Beira Interior region), the concentration of pollen in the atmosphere will register moderate to high risk values, but with emphasis on the pollen grains of chestnut, cork oak and oak trees and grassy herbs, sorrel, plantain, chenopodium, bredo and nettles.

In Évora (Alentejo region), the concentration of pollen in the atmosphere will also have moderate to high risk values, with emphasis on grains from olive, chestnut, eucalyptus and cork oak trees and grasses, plantain, chenopodium, bredo and nettles.

In Faro (Algarve region), there will be low to moderate risk values, with emphasis on olive and chestnut trees and grasses, plantain, chenopodium, bredo and nettles.

In Funchal (autonomous region of Madeira), the concentration will be low, especially for cypress and eucalyptus trees and also grasses, nettles and nettles.

In Ponta Delgada (autonomous region of the Azores), the concentration will be equally low, but for cypress (and/or cryptomeria), pine, eucalyptus and chestnut trees and also grasses, plantain, nettle and urticaceae.
