During the weekends of July 19 to August 17, this initiative invites children, young people, adults and families to explore dance, music, theatre, Butoh and serigraphy, through 12 unique workshops, with the collaboration of artists Álvaro Rosso, Ana Burges, Cláudio Vidal, Ichiko Funai, Lília Parreira, Miguel Marinho and Susana Schade.

Under the artistic direction of Ana Borges, the “Arte em Calor” programme, with the support of CCDR Algarve/Cultura, Loulé Municipality and in partnership with Barro. i Cal, reinforces the role of art as a tool for social cohesion and wellbeing, in line with corpodehoje’s mission of democracy in art and culture.

With workshops that explore everything from the work of Yves Klein to dance and music jam sessions, Chi Kung and origami, the programme invites participants to immerse themselves in activities that stimulate the senses and imagination. Some of the highlights of these workshops are “KLEIN and us” (July 19): Children and families create with “human brushes” inspired by the French artist, “Listening to Dance” (July 20): Intercommunication of dance with double bass with Álvaro Rosso, “Being Water” (August 3): Chi Kung to flow like the sea, with Susana Schade and “Chameleon’s Gaze” (27 July), in Parque Municipal de Loulé, invites an artistic exploration of nature.

Accessible Art, Transformative Art corpodehoje operates under a model of conscious contribution: each participant contributes according to their means, guaranteeing the professional valorisation of artists without limiting access. “We believe that art is a right, not a luxury”, the team says.
