14th Edition of the World Kids Golf Championship: Where Future Stars Are Born

From July 22nd to 25th, Amendoeira Golf Resort once again hosts one of the world’s most anticipated junior golf events: the World Kids Golf Championship. Now in its 14th edition, the tournament has become a true international milestone in the development of young talent, bringing together future golf stars aged 7 to 18 in an atmosphere of competition, learning, and celebration.

More than just a tournament, the WKG is a globally recognized platform. Results from players in the under-18 categories count towards the World Amateur Golf Ranking, allowing young athletes to start building their name among the world’s best from an early age.

Commitment to Sporting Excellence

Since 2009, the event has had the support of the Portuguese Golf Federation, which reinforces its prestige and seriousness. The competition is open to boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18, with the tournament categories determined by age group and gender. Youngsters aged 10 and over will compete over 18 holes each day, while children under 10 will play 9 holes on each of the three days of the competition.

This format enables an inclusive yet challenging experience, tailored to the various stages of technical and competitive development of young golfers.
