The UK has passed a new legislation preventing women from being arrested or prosecuted for later-term abortion.

This is the biggest reform to British abortion laws in nearly 60 years, having been approved by parliament in a 379 to 137 vote, giving women the freedom to carry the procedure out without needing to fear legal repercussions.
Abortion is legal in the UK until up to 24 weeks in, with the remaining pregnancy time allowing for certain exceptions.
