This is the biggest reform to British abortion laws in nearly 60 years, having been approved by parliament in a 379 to 137 vote, giving women the freedom to carry the procedure out without needing to fear legal repercussions.
Abortion is legal in the UK until up to 24 weeks in, with the remaining pregnancy time allowing for certain exceptions.
What is the point of keeping the 24 - week limit if there are no consequences for not respecting it? This change will allow abortions right up to minutes before birth. Frightening!
