Even though the concept originated in Portugal, the “Spy X is distilled and bottled in Poland – one of the world’s historic vodka heartlands”, as mentioned in a press release sent to The Portugal News.
To produce the luxury vodka, “a secret blend of spelt and wheat” was used. The spelt “base is aged for over 30 days prior to distillation, which the company considers to be “an uncommon practice in vodka production.” This method gives Spy X a smooth and “ultra-neutral character.”
To celebrate the launch of the drink, an event occurred “at a private event held at a location chosen to reflect the brand’s DNA”, which combines elegance, modern design, as well as “a sense of intrigue.” According to a statement, this combination showcases the connection “to both mystery and luxury” of the Spy X Vodka.
In the event, guests tasted signature cocktails, which were “designed to complement the vodka’s unique flavour profile.” The cocktails were served with canapés, “highlighting the brand’s focus on curated luxury experiences.” The design of the bottles impressed guests, who commented that “Spy X is destined to become a collector’s item.”
Michelle Opstelten, General Manager of Edd’s Beach, quoted in the press release, said that “at Edd’s Beach, we’re always looking for ways to create something memorable for our guests. Spy X Vodka immediately caught our attention—not just for its exceptional smoothness, but also for the brand story behind it. We’re excited to be among one of the first ones to feature Spy X at our venue and are already working with the team to host a themed Spy Night this August, where the mystery and sophistication of Spy X will take center stage.”
Cyril de Weerdt, co-founder of Katedral Nightclub and Sin Sushi Restaurant in Portimão, showed her pride to “see a project like Spy X—international in ambition but born in Portugal—taking its first steps here. We’re excited to offer Spy X Vodka in both our VIP lounge and sushi bar, where it will perfectly complement the premium experience we deliver to our guests.”
Vanda Everke, one of the founders of the Spy Manor and Spy X brands, said that “Spy X is more than a vodka – it is a crafted experience.”
