Michelle Seyffert, who runs a Knit and Crochet Group in Singapore, travelled to the Algarve with her family and personally delivered the scarves, which were made as part of a project to set a record for the Singapore Book of Records.
With no real need for scarves in Singapore’s climate, Michelle sought out ways to donate them abroad – and discovered the Algarve Crochet and Knitting group’s winter charity work.
“We were thrilled to hear from Michelle", said a group member. “It was a pleasure to meet her in person and to receive such a generous donation. These scarves will help bring warmth and support to many people in the Algarve this winter. A big thank you to her and her group.”
The donation will be passed on to local charities and support organisations as part of the group’s annual winter drive, which helps vulnerable individuals and families across the region.
