The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning for the districts of Évora, Guarda, Beja, Castelo Branco and Portalegre until 9 pm today.

The districts of Bragança, Viseu, Guarda, Vila Real, Castelo Branco and Coimbra will also be under yellow warning, but between 6 am and 9 pm on Tuesday.

The IPMA forecasts periods of very cloudy skies and showers on the mainland today, which may be locally heavy, with hail and thunderstorms, especially inland and from the afternoon onwards.

The forecast also indicates a slight rise in maximum temperatures on the northern and central coasts and a slight drop in the interior of the central region and in the southern region.

Minimum temperatures will range between 15 degrees Celsius (in Setúbal) and 21 (in Portalegre and Castelo Branco) and maximum temperatures between 25 (in Aveiro) and 34 (in Bragança).
