Lawyer Elaine Linhares said that AIMA has committed to “scanning lawyers’ access” to the organisation’s system.
The lawyer was part of a delegation received by the president of the OA, who reported on a meeting with the president of AIMA last week.
The objective is to “foster dialogue between institutions and the bar association” and thus respond to the problems facing immigrants in Portugal, said Elaine Linhares.
The issue at hand is the "rights of foreigners", explained the lawyer, adding that the president facilitated dialogue with AIMA to provide access that "allows the law to be enforced".
"We want to support AIMA so that situations that are currently a problem and lacking in response can be resolved", added the lawyer.
