With a new location in Quinta da Lomba, CUF strengthens its healthcare offerings to the population of Barreiro and neighboring municipalities, particularly with the opening of an Imaging service equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. In addition to specialized exams such as Cardiology, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, and Gynecological and Obstetric Ultrasounds, the CUF Barreiro Clinic now offers equipment for MRIs, mammograms, ultrasounds, and X-rays. The expanded offer also includes the provision of respiratory function tests.

The new building, built from scratch and covering an area of over 1,500 square metres, is the result of a €10 million investment and features 26 offices for consultations, exams, and treatments in over 30 medical and surgical specialties, including: General and Family Medicine; Cardiology; Obstetrics-Gynecology; Ophthalmology; Orthopedics; and Otorhinolaryngology. For unexpected health issues, the clinic offers daily appointment slots for "Day of the Day" from Monday to Sunday—this service allows you to schedule a General and Family Medicine appointment on the same day.

In the year it celebrates its 80th anniversary, CUF's vitality is felt throughout the region with the opening of the new CUF Barreiro Clinic. For Rui Diniz, President of the CUF Executive Committee, "this change of facilities, with the increased care offered to the Barreiro population, reflects CUF's commitment to the health and well-being of families in the region, combining proximity with excellent care. Today, we respond more specifically to their needs for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and lifelong monitoring."

The CUF Barreiro Clinic has a total of 130 distinguished professionals, combining experience with modern medical equipment and facilities, ensuring excellent care for an area of over 170,000 residents, working closely with the CUF Tejo Hospital and CUF Almada Clinic to complement the healthcare provided.

The new clinic, on Rua de São Tomé e Príncipe, will have extended hours—open Monday through Sunday, including holidays—and replaces the temporary facility located next to the 1º de Maio Municipal Market last year. The former clinic space is now home to a CUF Health Centre, offering primary healthcare services (General and Family Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Psychology, and Nutrition), reinforcing CUF's proximity to families in the region.

CUF's presence in the region will be consolidated in 2028, with the opening of the CUF Barreiro Hospital - a new hospital unit that will increase access to differentiated and comprehensive healthcare on the south bank of the Tagus.
